Introduction
This Media Release sets out the terms and conditions under which Kickers United Soccer Academy Inc. may capture, use, store, reproduce, and publish photographs, video recordings, audio visual content, and similar media involving participants in Academy programs, and applies to all media captured during training sessions, games, tournaments, camps, clinics, events, and related Academy activities.
Parental Consent
Media involving minor participants will only be used where consent has been provided by a parent or legal guardian through the Academy’s registration process or through separate written authorization, and by providing such consent the parent or guardian confirms that they have lawful authority to grant permission on behalf of the participant.
Scope of Media
Media may include photographs, video recordings, audio visual content, live streaming footage, team images, event coverage, promotional recordings, and other visual or audio materials captured by the Academy, its employees, contractors, volunteers, or authorized representatives.
Permitted Uses
With valid consent, the Academy may use participant media for legitimate Academy related purposes including website publication, social media content, digital advertising, printed promotional materials, brochures, event displays, presentations, internal communications, and other marketing or informational materials intended to promote Academy programs and activities.
No Compensation
Consent under this Media Release is voluntary and no compensation, royalties, or financial consideration shall be provided for the capture or use of participant media.
No Sensitive Context
The Academy will make reasonable efforts not to publish participant media in a manner that includes medical information, personal contact information, residential addresses, or similarly sensitive personal information, and will avoid use in any context that could reasonably be considered inappropriate or harmful.
Third Party Platforms
Media may be published on third party platforms including social media networks or video hosting services, and once publicly posted such media may be subject to sharing, redistribution, or reposting beyond the Academy’s direct control, and the parent or guardian acknowledges and accepts this risk.
Ownership and Rights
All media captured by or on behalf of the Academy remains the property of the Academy or the applicable creator, and this Media Release grants the Academy a nonexclusive, perpetual, royalty free right to use such media for the purposes described above.
Withdrawal of Consent
A parent or legal guardian may withdraw consent for future use of participant media at any time by contacting the Academy in writing, and upon receipt of such request the Academy will make reasonable efforts to cease future publication and remove media from active Academy controlled platforms where practicable, recognizing that previously distributed materials or third party reposts may not be fully retrievable.
Storage and Safeguards
Media files are stored using administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to their sensitivity and are accessible only to authorized personnel or service providers engaged for legitimate Academy purposes.
Electronic Acceptance
Consent to this Media Release provided through electronic registration, acknowledgment checkbox, or digital signature constitutes a legally binding electronic consent under the Electronic Commerce Act, 2000 Ontario and may be retained in electronic form.
Governing Law
This Media Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
